obb folder in Android storage keeps getting created?

I have a folder called obb that keeps getting created in my android storage folder. The other folders in android are data media and the one in question obb. I did some research on it and it seems that its for apks to be stored. The thing is i dont install any games on my device at all, and when i delete this folder it keeps coming back. The folder itself seems to be empty with the exception of a .nomedia file. Can anyone give any insight on why this might be here, and if anyone else has this happening to them or has this folder on there device. Thank you.

Not only games use the obb folder. Usually if any app has to download when you start it is being stored there. By default Android makes it in case it's needed so stop deleting it.

Manually trying to micro-manage your phone's operating system directories, when taken to extremes, will most likely result in you then having to re-flash the ROM. Consider yourself lucky not to have done anything but a superficial, self-correcting blip. Are you doing something like trying to clear up more free storage space or just trying to tidy things up a bit?

Before you go deleting folders, please acquaint yourself with Android file structure.
As svim stated, be lucky you've not done irreparable harm to your phone.
