Odd situation with AVI files

Hey, guys.

I'd like to share an odd thing that happens to me here. Maybe it has already happened to someone else, who knows?

I use both Windows 7 and Kubuntu 11.10 on my laptop computer.

I have mVideoPlayer installed on my mobile (LG-P350f - Android 2.2.2) and, of course, the default Android's Video Player as well.

When I copy AVI files from my PC to my mobile using Windows 7, I can normally play the videos in any app (Video Player or mVideoPlayer)...

But when I copy AVI files from my PC to my mobile using Kubuntu 11.10, I can play the videos, but I can not seek back or forward. It is really weird.

I can reproduce this at any time. Copying from Windows, it works perfectly. Copying from Kubuntu, it doesn't work as it should.

It took me a long time to figure it out. At first, I thought my SD card was damaged. I formated it, changed it, but the problem remained. Then I understood it was related to the OS I was using on my laptop.

So, does this happen to you too? Is there anything I should do not to have this problem when copying from Kubuntu?

Thanks for your time.
