Can anyone PLEASE help me fix my tablet?
Thanks!

AT&T only released the first firmware version that came with the tablet, 4.1.2
If you have taken any OTA updates, you cannot downgrade.
About the only way to get it flashed back to current stock, is to send it off to a authorized AT&T repair shop.
Another reason to never buy anything carrier branded, especially AT&T.

That would be my issue then.. I'm trying to backstep the update..
Any other ideas on how to get my tablet out of soft Brick then? I've tried Kies but I can't even get it to connect via usb... it recognizes when I plug it in.. it just never fully connects.

Sometimes you can find extracted firmware at XDA, but I checked this morning and couldn't find anything.
This is not something specific to your model number. There are a lot of borked devices out there that could be fixed if AT&T would just make the firmware available. They are next to the IRS on my hate list.

I know this is an old thread. I'm posting for others who are just now having the same challenge like you. Many people assume the AT&T locked bootloader has only one limitation, ie. flashing only AT&T firmware. They are not aware that DOWNGRADE IS IMPOSSIBLE TOO post 4.3! Thus, they download this 4.1.2 firmware from Sammobile thinking they have adequate protection before they start hacking this device. "If anything happens, I can always flash this official firmware from Sammobile!", they think but only to find out the hard way when the bootloader rejects this official 4.1.2 firmware too. I am actually speaking from experience! Luckily for me at the time I did find a copy of 4.4.2 from eBay. I don't know if it is still available but it doesn't hurt to look. Sorry, I don't have it on my hard drive now. It's been a while. In fact, I don't have this AT&T tablet anymore. I have since migrated to the Canadian SGH-I467M. With an unlocked bootloader, I am able to hack to my heart's content. The Canadian version is not without limitation either. Even though you can flash custom ROM, there are not that many available! The latest firmware is actually provided by the official Canadian carriers at 4.4.2. These tablets do have a close cousin, GT-N5120, which does have latest custom firmware at 7.1.1. I was researching how to port a GT-N5120 ROM to SGH-I467M when I stumbled on this thread.
