I have a Galaxy Note 4 (will be 2 years in May). Everything was fine until yesterday when it started lagging like crazy out of a sudden. It seems to work fine when you're just scrolling through screens but apps start lagging and sometimes only a battery pull helps. On one of these battery pulls, I got a screen saying "ODIN MODE" at the top and "UDC START" at the bottom in red. The screen was stuck so I did another battery pull. The phone's never been flashed or rooted or anything. What is happening? I didn't install any random *.apk when this started happening.

Help Odin Mode???

Odin mode, also known as Download mode, is a mode for SAMSUNG only. It is a state that allows you to flash firmware through Odin or other desktop software. When in Download mode, you will see s triangle with an Android image in it and says "Downloading..."
Yeah, that I get. But I was looking for someone who could suggest a potential solution for the problem.

I would try a cache wipe in recovery first and if not any better, a factory reset after backing up anything you don't want to lose.
From off, press and hold the power button, the volume up and home till you see blue Recovery Booting in upper left of screen. Then release the power button only. Release the other buttons when you see the recovery menu.
Use the volume buttons to scroll down to highlight wipe cache, the power button to select it. After wipe, reboot.
If no improvement after wiping cache and a factory reset, you could try flashing the stock firmware.

Don't wanna celebrate too early but I think clearing cache did something. It's lagging less now and it hasn't restarted itself in a while. I've cleared cache before, I have no idea why I didn't think of doing it now so thanks. I hope it's not a hardware problem with RAM or anything.
