Root odin won't recognize phone in download mode?

i believe there are drivers since i saw a link in the sticky, but it doesn't seem to work any more. does anyone have this still? sorry if this is posted elsewhere, but i looked and couldn't find it. any help is appreciated!

Also having issues with Odin recognizing my phone. Half the time I cant even view my phone as mass storage. Just never shows up.

OK i got it all i did was found the most recent mesmerize drivers from the Samsung website, tried again and made sure to wait long enough and it did appear in Odin finally.

I know this topic is old, but this is the type of topic people desperate for help find via google. Odin wouldn't recognize my phone when in download mode. Going to Samsung's website and looking in the support section for whatever phone you have should bring you to the drivers you need. I installed them and Odin works like a champ now.
