hello I'm new to earning the ins and outs of android. but I noticed that in developer settings I can OWN unlock my phone. can some explained what this means AND examples of what I can do when I unlock it? I have 7.0 nougat
 
Unlock means you can release it from the carrier that it's locked to, who supplied it, and it usually means you can use other carrier's SIMs in it.
