Off contract or contract?

What do you guys think? Buying off contract or on contract? I'm thinking of getting that elephone p6000... Nicer phone from China.. I know that's not recommended but I know what I'd be getting into and what to expect. But still.. Just in general.. Off or on contract? I know android authority believes off contract. But what's your thoughts?

I don't think its a simple as a straight yes or no answer....
Its going to depend where you are, what you want, how much you value certain services, the freedom you get, your service provider, the device and of course cost.

The financial side is easier, you can get the spreadsheet out and work out exactly how much its going to cost you in one way or the other. Then you need to factor in how much is the service for warranty/support you'd get from your network of choice worth.
