Help *off topic* Moto RAZR v3

[Android Question]

This is not exactly an Android question but I do not know where else to ask this, was hoping for some information or resources.

I have an old Verizon Wireless Motorola RAZR V3m and I want to install a different firmware on the phone. I want to remove the Verizon ROM with their custom UI and hardware restrictions and replace it with the classic Motorola BREW OS.

Does anyone know if a different firmware can be used on the Vzw model of this phone and can it be flashed and still work on Verizon network?

Verizon will not allow the bootloader to be unlocked on their branded Motorola devices. Locked bootloader = no custom recovery = no custom ROM.
