I am having an issue with importing contacts via the official facebook app and facebook for HTC sense.
Note that I never set for both to sync contacts at the same time. At first I tried "syncing with existing contacts on the facebook app. It suggested a lot of linking and I approved them all.
When I go to my handcent SMS app, a lot of pictures show up (the facebook defaults of the ppl). When I go to create a new message and start typing the recipients name, 2 contacts show up, both with the same number (most of the time one of them start with a "+1")
When i removed all contacts and tried the same withing with facebook for HTC sense I experience the same issue.
Also, some of my sim contacts are not linking with the corresponding facebook contacts, and both show up on my "people" app even though the names and numbers are the same.
Any thoughts on how I may fix this?

Update: I troubleshot a bit and found that texting to the different numbers sends the message the recipient and they appear on the same text stream.
