This T-Mobile branded HTC device is perfectly capable of running ICS, and it's sister device, the HTC Desire HD, is getting an ICS update. The hardware specs on both devices are mostly the same. The release of the HTC One V, with lower specs than the Mytouch 4G proves that this phone is very capable of running Sense 4.0.

Personally, i really want to see the Mytouch 4G get an Official ICS update, because this device is perfectly capable of it.
