Official Launch Date announced...No early launch...

Way to go Verizon....Milking the Bionic for every last sale!

Hopefully they just drop the GNex and Razr together...

This was what was first on the leaked map so it makes sense. I could see the razr and rezound dropping the same day since they will obviously market the droid more heavily and it looks like the nexus isn't coming until the 17th at the earliest.

So, does this mean if we pre-ordered we won't see it til the 11th? Or will they overnight so it's there on the 10th? I'm leaving for a few days on the 11th, if it's not there, I'm gonna have a looooong excruciating wait. (3 days.. Don't look at me like that.)

Not sure usually when you preorder they send an email within a day or so with tracking number and estimated ship date. Then again verizon probably just wanted to get people away from the nexus and thats why they never really announced anything other than a preorder.

Even after seeing the internal Verizon document I still suspect that VZW might release the RAZR early... or delay the GNex. Why? Because it seems illogical for them to release a new candidate for Verizon flagship phone on November 10th and then release another phone which will poach sales from the RAZR a mere 7 days later.

And I think it reasonable to believe that Motorola, HTC, and Samsung know about Verizon's November release timelines. Releasing new phones from all three manufacturers within the same calendar month will likely not have a desirable effect on overall product sales. For us technically savvy individuals, choosing from three high end Android phones (four if you include the iPhone 4S which was released 2 weeks ago) isn't a big deal. For non-technical users, however, this will likely make for a more challenging decision.

IIRC the EVO 3D got into some ppl's hands early who pre ordered. There is still a chance someone may get their phone early.

Well I look at it differently. If someone had an htc phone with sense and liked it they can get the rezound, if they had a moto phone and like blur they can get the razr, and those tech savy can go with the nexus for the pure android. It is a win win for them. The longer they wait, the more chance those possible upgrades may switch to another carrier. I mean at&t is rolling out their lte with 2 new cheaper phones verizon can't just sit on what they have since they are no longer the only lte carrier in the US.

Red Red Red.....My man you have an excellent point...spot on! With vzw just waiting around they run the risk of people just bouncing...I suspect things will change very quickly once at&t fully rolls out they're LTE network. Once that happens vzw will no longer be the only game in town...

This whole waiting game, the game of keeping us in the dark without an actual release date for phones is just plain stupid IMO.

It is very stupid. I mean the longer they wait and depending on reviews of the upcoming phones coming I may just wait until CES to see what is revealed. I mean why not give a release so people know. They are going to buy phones so why the need to keep them in the dark? Just wish more people like you and I worked in these companies and could help them out lol.

Sorry Red but you're trying to look at this logically and VZW Corporate does not do things that way! Money is their primary motivator...

With the RAZR, Rezound, and Nexus Prime coming out in such a short window the bean counters and inventory control folks at Verizon are in a pickle. How many RAZR's do they order from Motorola? How many Rezounds do they order from HTC? And how many Nexus Primes do they order from Samsung? If they guess low then they have to wait a comparatively long time for a new order to be manufactured and shipped. And if they guess high they find themselves with warehouses full of uncommitted phones. Lets face it... the manufacturers don't derive any benefit from processing a RMA for 50,000 unwanted phones. And as for Verizon, any surplus of phones sitting on their warehouse shelves are sort of like cars sitting on a car dealership parking lot. They draw down corporate assets and become unnecessary liabilities on the balance sheet.

That's why they pay people to figure these things out:)

We pay our government to do similar things! ;) Ever notice how successful they are, by and large? Estimating stock quantities is like playing Keno in Vegas. There are an awful lot of variables to consider! And more often than not guessing works about as well as anything...

IMO VZW screwed up!

If they would have released them in phases there would have been no issues.

Razr - Oct 27th

GNex- Nov 10th

Vigor- Black Friday...

And while these releases are happening every 2 weeks, sell of the rest of the stock of the Thunderbolt, Revolution, and Charge by offering a giant incentive, say $49 with a 2 year contract. And offer the Bionic at half the price of the new phones coming out, say $149 on contract.

Following a formula like this keeps vzw in the mix for the whole month of Nov, and keeps them in circulation every 2 weeks with the newspapers with a new phone coming out.

By just winging it, and being secretive pisses everyone of and holds no merit.

Agree. i do not understand why they can not be like apple and announce a product and then be available shortly after. I never understood announcing something yet not making it available for weeks or months.

Apple only communicate dates when the product is boxed and ready to ship. VZW and Moto appear to be vague since the products probably are not boxed and ready to ship. This is probably a down-to-the-wire effort (as most non-Apple launches are).

Come on now, if everybody communicated like Apple, these forums would be 50% (or more) less interesting.

More like 90% less interesting lol, then people would actually have to talk about the phones and not release dates.

I pre-ordered mine from best buy. Will it be in the store for pick up on the 10th as well?
