Anyone who has used both have any pros or cons from both? Direct comparisons? I am very new to Twitter and Sense UI and am just trying to get a persona opinion who is not only a twitter user but has tried both.

Thanks for any opinions

I haven't tried the official twitter app but I find the Sense UI friendstream really simple and easy to use (it actually connect with the HTC Peep app). I haven't had any problems with it so I haven't had a need to install the official app.

Apps are really simple to install and uninstall, so why not just install all the main twitter apps (Twitter, Touiteur, Seesmic, Twicca, probably some more I'm forgetting) and give them a go.

They all do the same basic things, so it really comes down to which one you think looks nicest (my personal preference is Touiteur's darker theme, but Twitter's white/blue is also quite nice) and which ones are simplest to use (I wasn't a fan of the way Seesmic takes you to a separate page for each tweet if you want to interact with them, e.g. following a link).

Friendstream (and Peep) are perfectly functional, but they don't pack as many tweets onto the screen at once as other apps. Friendstream does have the very significant advantage of blending twitter and facebook updates into one feed.

Personally I say neither.

I really want to like Friendstream but the scrolling it not smooth it jerks a bit as it loads more posts which is really annoying.

The official Twitter app is a great start but still needs some work and really needs multiple account support.

Currently I use Seesmic for Twitter and Bloo for Facebook.
