As of last friday. Coverage sucks in two of the areas I frequent but I knew that going in and I know they're working on the network. \_/ here's to cheaper bills regardless and better international rates which is important for me. :smokingsomb:
 
Tmo sucks with services! I bought a 4g phone from them that only runs on 2g service. Called tmo and they said they don't have there 4g towers up in my area and they are working on it.. I'm still on 2g 2years later..
 
yeah i know/knew what I was getting into so I can't blame anyone really. I'm coping with it for now. Thank goodness that WiFi calling got baked into IOS8 or I would have probably held off on swapping a little longer.
 
T-Mobile is good if they have towers in your area. Cheapest of the big four.

If they don't have towers in your area, why would you switch to them? I mean if you don't care about data then go for it. But don't complain after the fact when you knew how it was going to be (not directed at OP).
 
I'm highly contemplating the switch from AT&T(using Straight Talk, yuck). I popped a paygo sim for a few days and the coverage in Vegas is excellent. Much better than AT&T in fact. But when I visit home in Utah, I know I'll be using other phones to even make calls.
 
Welcome. I was with Sprint but it was like throwing money in the toilet with dropped calls and dial up data speeds. Switched to Verizon and had great service but the price was high for only 2GB of data. Now with T-Mobile and I have good reception in most urban areas but when I go into rural areas it is poor. I knew that would be a problem going in but liked the direction T-Mobile was going in as a company (forcing other major carriers to change).

This was a big factor for me as well. Tmo seemed like they are the only carrier putting pressure on the big guys and they are actively working on the network. With VZW in my home area the LTE had become very heavily over saturated and data speeds even with good LTE signal was horribly slow.

I should have added this in the OP.

When I had VZW i didn't get coverage in my home, in fact VZW gave me a free network extender because of this. With Tmo I get about the same coverage inside my house....the difference is I pay about 50$ cheaper a month and I get better benefits suited for me.
 
@trophynuts, didn't you have the LG Optimus M (or maybe it was the Motion 4G?) on MetroPCS? I remember you from one of those two forums.
 
When your out and about and not in a building, at least for me, their service is great. A lot of the time I have full service on 4G LTE. Unfortunately, whenever I go inside a building, which is several places I frequent, I drop down to no bars at 4G. Which doesn't work honestly.

this is your use case in your area. My town has many spots out and about that have edge and that is it. or low 4G not LTE. On the main roads and in the heart of the city the LTE is good though.
