Offline Navigations

Hey there,

Does anyone know of any good free or paid up to date Offline (meaning working without wifi or mobile internet, only with gps) navigation apps for Europe?

Thanks

CoPilot is a paid app and the US version works extremely well. I am fairly certain that they have European maps also.

I recommend NavFree as well. It's adequate for a free, offline navigation app. The weakness is its search capability. Sometimes it can't find addresses and that happens rather often. Just be sure to verify destinations with something else like Google Maps first and then save them in NavFree.

There are two versions. The US version is for North America. The international version is for the rest of the world. Although Canada is in the international version, the US isn't, so if you drive across the border from Canada, you'll get a big blank if using the international version. The map of Canada is available in the US version.

I've used CoPilot Live EU West (=western Europe) for the last several years for my trips to the UK & France, and found it worked well. I think they also have geographically smaller versions that you can buy for less money (but probably not a lot less money). You can choose which maps to install, usually by country, but sometimes multiple small countries are in a single map.

I use mapfactor GPS navigation. Its free and has offline maps and navigation for most countries. I use it once and a while and it actually works! And has turn by turn navigation. Doesn't need WiFi to work. Can use with GPS.

I downloaded this to try it, and there's no option to download a US map. Why is that?
