Oh, it is going to be called 'O'

Well,
here I am, still plunking along with 4.4.4 on my Note 4 and not really feeling all that left out.

Opened up news.google.com and saw a tidbit on the new version of Android, which is going to be released in tandem with the Solar Equinox. Fitting I suppose, Oh you say? :)

The Note 4 will never see 'O', and I'm not all that inclined to fork over a huge chunk of cash to buy a new Pixel just so I can play with 'O'....

Maybe I can find a nice place to just fiddle with the new Pixel...

anyone out there seen any of the new 'O' yet?

Hi AZ, glad to see you on here again!
My friend has a pixel and loves it, that's about all I can tell you.
Keep in mind it's all Google so be prepared for that.

Hi, AZ!

Yeah, we're all after the Big O, and... oh wait: wrong website

:p
:D

The Note 8 is slated to come out with Android 7.1.1, and I might imagine that Android O - being an incremental update - will be 7.2. So if we get the Note 8 in September on Verizon, I would expect it will get updated to Android O about the same time that the Pixel gets Android Q or R...

sorry for the demise of my appearances,
I have been a bit "out of sorts" what with the wife passing Jan 27th this year.

took me a while to get back "to living" again.

Wow, that is a horrible thing to hear... we lost Dad in January and that was tough. If I lost the Darling Bride, I wouldn't know what to do. It's good to see you getting back into the swing of things, though - I'm sure she wouldn't expect you to collapse into a permanent state of mourning. If you feel like ranting or anything, I'm a PM away...

I'm doing fairly well, plunking along enjoyably with a Note 4 on 4.4.4 that someone decided to kick out the door :)
