ok I'm old, I'll admit it,Ihad one of these!:) got mine in "76
I could talk actually about 20 mins or so between 10Hr charges but it was soooo cool I could go down the street with the phone

lol nice! you did me a favor of mentioning the specs seeing as i was born '86 lol i couldn't find the specs to older units like that anywhere. the original creator of the cell phone said about 2 years back "new cell phones these days keep getting smaller and keep doing more, i don't even try to keep up"
 
That is pretty nuts right there. 35 minute talk time and a 10 hour recharge time. What was it about $6 a minute for airtime? All it needs is an otterbox case and a belt clip. :D Makes me wonder what technology is going to be like in another 35 years.

lol well funny thing is with this Android phone tec is going back to BIG... I have a samsung Juke smallest cell with mp that probably will ever be made cute little thing.. back then i think I was paying about 120 month for mobile unit about 2 years later.. lol that was a lot back then.. the company was Ameritech or amraphne or something like that

Yeah I'd thought about that. Phones were getting smaller and smaller until the touch screen craze now they're getting bigger and bigger. Obviously they're getting thinner too but it's funny the way things go.
 
For a long time size, well lack thereof, was a major selling point. It got milked for ask it was worth past the point where they became increasingly more difficult to use.

I saw a contractor using this the other day. I have no idea why on earth it's still working.
