I spent the afternoon watching THEE OHIO STATE BUCKEYES Annual spring game where they set a national spring game attendance record of over 1000,000 fans!
I thought the defensive backs played well on both teams. The running backs performed very well to.
Quarterback JT Barrett played a less than stellar game but he comes in as the undisputed number one so he had nothing to prove.
The real star of the day was Athens Ohio Native Redshirt Freshman Joe Burrow who came in battling for the backup QB position. Joe Played outstanding. He didn't get solid blocking from the Oline but still managed 192 yards passing going 14-23 with 3 touchdown passes and one interception.
Ive watched Joe play since he was a sophomore in high school and he showed today that he belongs at Thee Ohio state University!!
The kid has IT. He played like he has been there. Always calm cool and collective.
Southeastern Ohio doesn't produce a large number of D-1 recruits especially the likes of Joe Burrow. He did Athens County, Athens high school, and the Trivalley conference proud today!
