OK Google Not working when phone is locked

Hi,
New here and my first post. I set up OK Google with all options, From Apps, From Any Screen and Trusted Voice. They all work except when the phone is locked. I have tried uninstalling the most recent update and reinstalling. I have tried rebooting my phone as well.

OK Google works fine once I hit the power button and the screen comes on before I unlock it. But when the phone is locked and the clock is showing, it does not respond to my voice.

I just recieved my S7 Edge this past week and from what I can tell all updates have been installed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

If you're using anything other than "Swipe to open" to keep your phone secure,that may be the culprit.
 
Sounds about right actually for device security. Because you probably don't want someone else making phone calls, accessing your contacts, emails, sending messages, accessing the internet, while your device is locked and possibly out of your possession. Which "Okay, Google.." could do if it was available while the phone was locked.
 
I thought that was the point of the option "Let OK Google" unlock your device when the sound matches your voice"
With this option on, shouldn't the phone wake up with the OK Google command in my voice? If not what is the point of the option? Or am I not understanding correcly?

IDK,but,how 'bout trying it out & getting back to us?

Ditto,I'm just using swipe to open & OK GOOGLE is not responding.
Got the option for screen off also.
Sounds like a bug fix is needed,THX for bringing it to our attention.................... :thumbsupdroid:
 
it doesnt work when locked and asleep unless it is on charge.
it works if locked but not asleep and not on charge.

the settings make it look as if this is as planned.
