"OK Google", wildly varying results

I activated the Google Actions on my phone just yesterday and I'm experiencing wildly varying results with it. It recognizes what I'm saying perfectly, it just isn't very consistent in the action it performs.

For instance, when I say "Play You're the Inspiration by Chicago", it started a music player and played the requested song. It did that all day yesterday. Today, all of a sudden it started to do something else. One minute it was still playing the songs I requested, and the next it opened the play store where I can buy the song.

No matter what I try (I even tried restarting the phone), it will no longer play the song I request. It keeps opening Google Play. When I say "Play Music", it does play a (random) song stored on my phone.

Another thing that changed suddenly, is opening apps. Yesterday when I said "Open WhatsApp Messenger", it would do exactly that. Open WhatsApp Messenger. Now, it shows me the Google search results for "open whatsapp messenger". Oddly enough when I say "Open Facebook Messenger", it opens facebook messenger.

These are just a few examples.

Does anybody know what's going on here?

I discovered by accident last week that if I say, "OK Google, hello" it gives the latest context help.

In your case, maybe try -

And to launch, say, "open (app name) app."

Hope this helps. :)

That brought up The Play Store again...

And to launch, say, "open (app name) app."

Ok, oddly enough that worked. Why odd? Because when I say "open whatsapp app", it corrects it to "open whatsapp", but it indeed opens whatsapp. But when I say "open whatsapp", it opens a Google search.
