What is the best simple camera app for the G7 ? Looking for simple, almost point and shoot simplicity. I would like the Night app like the Gcam and if possible a zoom type app ? Not looking for multiple camera apps but would consider 2 if necessary. I guess a better slo mo and better stabilization would be too much to ask ( if its even available ) New camera, had one smartphone and basically used it for voice and text messages. Let's just say I'm not a tech freak but I do like to take a few pics especially with 3 grandsons playing college football and will learn whatever is necessary to get the job done..

I have a stock Moto G7 except I added an extra 64 GB sd card to it. I have read that the Gcam should work. The only question I have is there seems to be many versions of the same app, some newer than the last. But is the latest necessarily better ?

Yes, it is. Google is putting a lot of it's AI processing in the apps, so the new the version the better it should work (mostly). I'd pick that over any others.
