Unless you're completely aware that using a low-spec, budget special phone, like that Photon Q model you referred to, will always be running at a just barely marginal state, it's not just the numerous problems you'll be having running certain apps but every time you use it for any task there will be pauses and odd quirks, plus you will encounter frequent error messages as there simply isn't enough storage space. All those low spec phones are a horrible example of companies simply profiteering by selling a sub-standard product as they fail to clearly emphasize that they have serious usability issues. And it makes no difference what version of Android you put on them, the hardware simply isn't capable enough. It's not a matter where you have to get a flagship model either, there are plenty of low-cost, mid-range models that are more than suitable for daily usage, but avoid those cheap models, a flip-phone is more appropriate if budget is the primary factor.
