Old smart watch won't connect

I have the first Samsung watch and it won't pair to my note 9

I have. It still gets stuck here

I tried finding a guide to pair a first gen Gear to a Note 9, but couldn't find one. This is the closest I could find. Not sure if it'll be useful, but here it is...

Ok I tried this . I even got that old version of the watch manager app and it gets stuck here

All you can do is factory reset both watch and phone at this point. Otherwise, a call to samsung support is in order.

I reset my phone and watch and tried my brothers s9 and a s10 at the shop .non get past that screen

So seems watch is defective, or simply no longer supported by the phones software.

Reaching out to Samsung is likely your smartest and best recourse.

I have an old Galaxy Gear2 which came with Tizen OS(Samsung crap). I rooted it and installed twrp recovery then installed Wear OS(Android). Now I can pair it easily. With another upside being that it pairs with any brand phone and not just Samsung phones.

Just a comment that I loved the look of that original S with the curved mini-phone, I had some custom bands that I used. I'll have to dust mine off and see if it still works with my Note 8.
