on an incoming call my one X defaults to speakerphone

Call comes in I answer and the icon for speakerphone is lit up so I have to turn it off on every call.

I have tried rebooting, removing the sim etc, can anyone please help solve the problem?

Have you tried turning Flip For Speaker off in the settings, a cool feature but may be cause of the problem ?
Settings > Sound > Flip For Speaker

Make sure your charging pins are clean. Dirt can cause them to short and the phone will think it's in car dock mode. Had this happen on the OG EVO

Yep tried both if those fixes. In the end I factory reset the phone which fixed the problem

Seems to fix most problems but what a farse it is having to go through that.
