Apps onBackPressed problem

hi i have one problem, when ever my application running i am at main screen, i am clicked the back button on simulator the application is not terminating going to background process.

but when i am clicking the back button on child screens then they will be finished. What is the problem any one please Guide me.

What do you mean by going to background process? Do you mean that the simulator loads the previous program? If so, then this is how android works. Androidology - Part 2 of 3 - Application Lifecycle

What do you mean by clicking back button on child screens they will be finished? Do you mean that the whole program finishes?
