Help One issue with my RAZR

I've had my Droid RAZR for about a month, and I LOVE the phone. I've had an issue for a few days that I cant seem to resolve.

I tried out the Go locker app because I liked the idea of customizing my lock screen, but then I found out if you hit the home button, the phone just unlocks right to the home screen, regardless if a password is set or not.

Long story short, I uninstalled Go locker. Then, when my phone, in the default security settings, even though it is set to pattern lock, 80% of the time it does not display the pattern lock, but the slide lock.

I have a password set, and it still goes to slide lock most of the time. I love having a password so a friend or something can't just go on my phone.

How would I fix this?

Check your setting under "security:automatically lock". If the time specified is too long, you might want to shorten it.

I know with some lock screen replacements like widget locker it says that there is a couple second time put from when you hit the lock button before it will activate. Meaning if you hit the lock button and within a few seconds hit it again to unlock it will bypass the lock screen completely because it didn't have time to start up. Just a thought, I'm not sure how t go locker works.
