Help ONE X - stuck on white screen after update

Hey everyone. I'm new here and I hope that you can help me.
Last night my HTC OneX got an update notification and I downloaded it and started the install. The phone was on charger.
At one point it was over, at least I think, but the phone won't start. It's stuck on white HTC start screen and nothing happens.
I tried to reboot it, but it just shuts down for a second and then vibrates and the white screen is there again. I can't shut it down at all, except to drain the battery down.
I've also tried the hard reboot (volume and shut down buttun) but the phone did the same thing again.
It's a stock phone and I pretty much don't know anything about flashing or something like that.
Please help if you can.

Thank you very much in advance.

Was it the JellyBean update? I know when previous updates have been issued, they've advised to be over a certain percentage charge wise and not plugged in.

Can you get into the bootloader at all or does it just vibrate and go to the HTC logo? I suspect you might need to call HTC, sorry.

I remember when I got the update after ICS for my XE and I absent mindedly left it plugged in while installing. The installation seemed to hang about half way through. All I could to was yank the charger out and hope for the best. Thankfully, it was fine, but lesson learned.

When they say don't have it plugged it when updating, really don't. I think if it had been the actual ICS update, I'd have been screwed. I've heard worse stories of bricked phones and HTC making you pay for repairs because you didn't follow instructions.
