OneDrive Keeps Crashing

I keep getting the message of OneDrive has stopped working on my new Samsung Galaxy S6. Initially it was working fine and I had setup my account and enabled Camera photos upload etc. but then due to one of LOB application (our office requires) I had to encrypt the device. Post that I have been seeing the application keeps crashing and not syncing as well.
I tried uninstalling the updates, stopping the application and then also tried disabling and enabling back. Reboots have also not helped. I believe this is an app which come preloaded and hence cannot be completed uninstalled. I also tried deleting all the cache files etc. but to no avail. So I am out of wits here and wanted to understand if anyone else has experienced the problem.
The version of OneDrive is 3.0.2 and any help around how to debug it or workaround it would help.
Thanks.

I can't get Word or Excel to work on my Note 2. Every time I try to sign in it gives me the error message that I am not connected to a server. How do you set up the server for one drive for Word and Excel. I have xx@xx.on microsoft.com acct but it's not getting setup in the settings/accounts properly so that's why I can't connect. How did you do it? I have an Office365/One Drive for Business trial but nobody knows hire to set this up.

Second, do you need a One Drive acct to use the downloaded office Apps locally? It looks like you cannot save a file without it. Help!
