OnePlus One supported carriers?

Does any of you know which are the supported carriers?

I live in Italy, but I might purchase a OnePlus One in the US this summer (my smartphone is giving me problems and I'll be in the US for some time... seems to me like it's destiny :D); my main point of concern is whether the phone will work in Italy as well.

Do you happen to know something more about it :)?

In the US, it will work on T-Mobile and AT&T including their LTE networks.

According to gsmarena's coverage tool, Italy uses the following:
  • 2G capabilities: GSM 900, GSM 1800
  • 3G capabilities: UMTS 2100
  • 4G capabilities: LTE 800, LTE 1800, LTE 2600

The 1+1's radio supports the following frequencies:
  • 2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
  • 3G Network HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100
  • 4G Network LTE 700 / 1700 / 2600 / 2300 / 2100 / 1800

So in Italy, you'll be ok for everything but LTE.

Awesome, I couldn't ask for a better answer!

Thank you :D!
Actually, you could :)
Hey everyone!

I've been looking on the OnePlus forums lately, and lots of people have questions about carrier compatibility with the One. Personally, carrier compatibility is the biggest factor when it comes to buying an unlocked phone, so I decided to make this thread to help guide people with compatibility with their carriers. According to OnePlus's website, the bands that are supported are as follows:

GSM: 850, 900, 1800, 1900MHz
WCDMA: Bands: 1/2/4/5/8
LTE: Bands: 1/3/4/7/17/38/40

Now, I am going to start with USA compatibility. If anyone else would like me to add compatibility with their carrier, please reply to the thread, and I'll see what I can do. Hopefully, this will benefit all members of the community.

USA

AT&T
2G/EDGE/GPRS : Supported on both 850 and 1900 MHz bands
3G/UMTS/HSPA : Supported on both bands 2 and 5.
LTE : Only supported on bands 4 and 17. Bands 2 and 30 are not supported; however, they are usually only deployed to create extra bandwidth in high capacity areas. Band 17 is AT&T's major LTE band.
MVNOs of AT&T : Straight Talk, Net10, AIO

T-Mobile
2G/EDGE/GPRS : Supported on both 850 and 1900 MHz bands
3G/UMTS/HSPA : Supported on both bands 2 and 4 ("4G" HSPA+)
LTE: Supported on currently deployed Band 4. However, T-Mobile plans to deploy Bands 2 and 12 to extend coverage. So, if you have LTE signal now, you're okay. If you don't, then you most likely never will with the One.
MVNOs of T-Mobile : MetroPCS, Ultra Mobile, Lycamobile, Straight Talk, Net10

Sprint
INCOMPATIBLE

Verizon
INCOMPATIBLE

is anybody using H20? is they're $60 plan REALLY unlimited?

From what I gather, you're throttled after 2gb. It also appears 4G might be unavailable, but that could be because none of the phones that they offer have 4G; if you BYOD that has 4G, maybe you can get 4G, but I really have no idea.

Also, from what I gather, only T-Mobile and MetroPCS (owned by T-M) offer truly unlimited, no throttling prepaid/month-to-month plans.

Best Prepaid Phone Plans in the US (2014)

If you live in an area that has T-Mobile LTE, and don't need to, for example, take long trips in a car between cities in the midwest or mountains or deserts where T-M coverage is limited, T-Mobile is a great choice. Especially for prospective OnePlus One buyers. In addition to supporting T-M's 1700/2100MHz (band 4), it also supports 700MHz (band 17), which T-M is in the process of purchasing from Verizon (expect it to be up sometime this fall/winter). This broader-frequency band penetrates buildings better, so you'll get a better signal indoors. Interestingly, most of T-M's current (newer) LTE phones already support this 700MHz band, so it's clear they've been planning ahead.

What about MetroPCS?

As long as they're operating on T-MOBILE's network wherever you plan to use it, you should have no problems using a METRO PCS SIM Card.

I'm not even sure that METRO is still on CDMA networks anywhere or not.

If so, no go.

It appears that the band that T-Mobile is purchasing is actually 700MHz band 12, not band 17. I'm confused to say the least. They're producing phones to operate on a band that they won't use, and they bought a band that their current phones don't use.

Yes to give them better building pentration and rural area coverage... Every one says it is quite bad...I know my lte drops when I am inside a building

Metro is the same damn way. Horrible penetration.

btw, first time clicking on your signature, nice.

yep, band 12. the 1+1 doesnt have that band, though no other phone has it either.

the next round of phones will have that band.

You do know carriers often have phones made for them right? See Z1s there could be a chance tmobile contracts them again for a z2s with the band 12 in tow or if there is a official us release it could have it.

z1s doesnt have it either.

z2s? next year..

We are halfway through the year already the 2nd Sony flagship should be popping up soon in leaks and such

no problem it will work......

If I was to buy the phone and ship it to America and then to Ireland would I be able to put in an Irish sim and would it work.

I'd still contact OnePlus for confirmation,as the list is unofficial, but,as far as I can tell, the OP seems like he's done his homework & apparently has kept it up to date.

Hope to see ya' round here real soon,& you'd have a captive audience if you could post your own review of the 1+once you've had some ALONE TIME w/it:
