I had so many memory issues with my Moto Droid, problems entering text and Handcent sms popup would not work. They went away after I removed Open Home. It even turned some of my icons gray.
In my opinion all of the Desktop Replacement software should be required to issue a danger warning. The amount of bricked phones, boot loops and associated problems is staggering. I don't think they should be allowed on the marker unless the users sign a disclaimer clearly understanding the danger of using such apps.
I think it's irresponsible to offer them as if they aren't dangerous.
