Hi
Whenever i click a link in any app (WhatsApp, Twitter, Pinterest Ect'), the links are opening in a floating small window instead in the browser. Any idea why this is happening and how do i change it?
Example:
Looks like you've got one of the floating browser apps installed and set as the default handler for that intent. If you can find which app you can clear defaults for it. Or see whether you can find the defaults elsewhere in the settings (I don't know that phone's menus). Or install another browser, in which case I'd expect it to ask again which app you'd like to handle links.
Well if it's the same thing in those different apps then it is a separate app of some sort doing it. Either something that isn't obviously a browser (possibly pre-installed by the manufacturer) or one of the browsers providing this different view.
There's a common feature called Android System Webview, which I see I have disabled on my phone. It might be related to that (at least the name is suggestive).
Sorry to hijack, but have you guys just disabled via settings > apps (or whatever the equivalent is on your device)? Webview is disabled on my device and links from Gmail and search etc won't open in my default browser.
