Opening Documents with Android device

Hello, could anyone please help me with a difficult problem on my new Oukitel handset? I need to open attachments from emails, including Word and PDF documents. However, when I attempt to open a second document, I am only able to view the first document that I opened. The second document which I attempted to open isn't displayed. Even if I try to open 10 Word and 10 PDF documents, it is only the very first document that I viewed that is displayed, and I can never see the others that I try to open.

The only way I can get around this is to go to the device settings and clear all the app' data from the device. Once this is done, I can then view the second document. However, for me to then view the third, fourth and fifth document that I try to open, I have to clear the app' cache every time that I view a different document. So I go to Settings/ Storage/ Cached data, then I click to clear the data, and I can then open the next document from my emails.

Is there any way that I can prevent this problem? On all my previous Android devices, this issue never occurred. The Oukitel K10000 Max is the only device where I have experienced this issue,

Neil

Open your email app.
Select download all or save all.
Open your file manager.
Find the files from the email.
Click on the files you wish to open.
Tada!

Hi, thanks both for the above. On the first point, the documents get automatically saved when I touch to open them. I then go to the downloads folder, click on the relevant document stored there, then I get a message that pops up stating 'Cannot open file'. So I guess the device must be saving the Word or PDF doc's in a strange format.

Re the second point above, I had to install Outlook, as the default email client on the handset wouldn't open or download documents at all and popped up a message stating 'No app can open this file'. I then swapped to Outlook and this issue was resolved, only to be replaced by the cached documents issue,

'No app can open this file'.

Oh. I think mobile outlook is your problem in this case. First the "No app" message is just telling you that there is no default app for that file. Try oping up a pdf or word document from a file manager and it should ask you to "always open this type of file with this app?" and answer yes to set the default (you can always clear it later if you want to change it).

Install a PDF and word document viewer from the play store

The issue is not that your email app is saving files in a strange format but rather you need to install an app that can work with those file types. Both MS Word and Adobe PDF file types are proprietary and come with licensing issues so neither are just open to third-party vendors. It simply isn't a matter where you download any file you run across and it's viewable and editable at will using any app, there are unfortunately specifics involved.
Anyway, install a basic file manager app like 'Explorer' that will make things easier as far as accessing and managing your file downloads:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speedsoftware.explorer
And more importantly, install a viable office suite app like 'WPS Office' which allows you to open/edit file types like MS Word and Adobe PDF:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cn.wps.moffice_eng&hl=en
An office suite like WPS is multi-functional and can work with various file types, if you know you're only going to be dealing with MS Word and Adobe PDF documents you might instead want to just install the MS Word app and the Adobe Reader app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.office.word
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.adobe.reader
