Opening pre-made Word / Excel templates within an App and Exporting them

Hi All,

I have created a series of Word and Excel templates - they are essentially different tables in Word and Excel.

I am trying to create an app for tablets, whereby within the app you can choose from a list of the templates. Once you select a template, it opens up within the App, allowing the user to enter their own data. Once they have entered the data, they can then save and export the document as Word or Excel.

Is anyone able to help with this please?

For opening Excel templates, inputting data to them, and saving Excel documents? Why not just use Excel for that? Same for Word.

As for creating an app. Do you know how to code in Java or Kotlin with Android Studio?

There are many functions in Excel. I would recommend that you check your settings to make sure that all Excel functions are working as expected. Try removing the image from the template and reloading them. I like to take Okslides templates that are ready to go, which saves time. Keep in mind that Excel templates won't open on Windows 8.1 devices with the Windows 8.1 Mobile app if you use those. If you get messages like "We tried to restore your document as much as possible, but it's not available for editing". Try opening and restoring the document on your PC to fix the problem.
