opening scanned attachments

I purchased new Galaxy note but I could not open scanned attachments when it is saved in downloads. When I try to open this saved attachment it says " no application can perform this action" Please, help me

Hello and welcome to the forum. There's nothing wrong with the device - the file that you're trying download is not downloadable (sometimes there are more than one file available - you just have to click on the correct one). If you have no app that can read the format of the file you downloaded, it will give you that message. If you let someone in your device forum know the type of document (.doc, .pdf, .txt, etc.) they can recommend an app to display it.
