Opposite of tethering...

I think I posted this here before but I cannot find it. I understand there are tethering programs allowing you to share your phones intermnet connection with a a laptop for example.

Is it possible to connect to your home PC via USB and use your PCs internet on your phone?

Reason I am asking is my PC router dies so I have no WIFI in the house now and sometimes trying to find APKs is a pain, or just because I can if I can.

I could not find much searching, probably since I have no clue what that is called.( at least I figured out what tethering means ....).

via usb? that's a new one...I've never heard of such a thing but if you find out, share!

asked about this for a long time, and the answer was that it was not possible back then because android do not support AD-HOC connections, but that was a while ago (maybe last year) as for today i don't know
