Optimus G to get Kit Kat this summer?

I cant wait I just got this phone about a month ago and love it. The only thing its missing is kitkat and I hope they add the tap to wake from g2 i'm excited I really didnt want to root and now I can wait a few more months and have it.

Well I can't say I wasn't warned. LG had a bad record of updates. They skipped quite a few android updates before announcing that they were holding out for KitKat. It has been released in some other countries, even some third world. But nothing in Canada or USA or Europe. I have outgrown the finger pointing between the carrier and the phone makers.

The Optimus G was the flagship that turned things around for LG. It established their brand as a heavyweight. I think it is a rock solid phone, and still is. There is nothing the newer android phones have that I need. But let's be real. The phone was launched with ICS while Jellybean was already released months prior. In my mind, it received zero upgrades. Did I really need an upgrade? I am not sure. If I had the upgrades, I would know better. However, I will not buy another LG even after all those promises. I do not have the time to brick and unbrick my phone using sketchy ROMs. My phone works. However, my next phone will probably not even be an Android. Fragmentation is real. My only way to avoid it is to buy strictly Nexus. However, I am contemplating Blackberry 10. They do a good job of updating their phones, even after a couple of years as well. Their reception is rock solid, they have the best web browser, keyboards, battery life (Z30 and Passport), and I can still use Android apps.
