Help Orange San Francisco, how to set ringtones

Hi all,

I downloaded some ringtones to the phone but can not work out how to make them be work as ringtones. They are supposed to be for the phone and though I can find them in "downloads" and make them play they do not show up in the ringtones list.

Any ideas?

Welcome to the forums! :)

You'll need to create a folder on the SD Card called "Ringtones" (minus the quotes), if you move the songs you want to be ringtones into that folder, they should appear in list of selectable options.

Also moved your thread to the right place!
 
I'll give that a go. when you say put the post in the right place what is the right place and how do I do that?

You posted in the Android Lounge which is like a generic sub area for Android news and general Android chat. We have subforums for many of the Android phones/devices and generally speaking, if your question/news relates to a specific device, it's best to post in that devices section.

It's no problem at all that you posted in Android Lounge, it takes about 10 seconds to move a thread, you'd just have got a better response in the Orange San Francisco section (it also helps keep things tidy for the mods).

The above should sort, but if it doesn't let us know and we'll see what else we can do to resolve your problem. :)
