Oreo 8.1 DnD not clear

Oreo 8.1 DnD did not work for the hours set so I deleted the rule, but my Moto X4 will not relinquish the rule so all calls use DnD ring and I have to answer 'Dismiss' or 'Answer call'. I have no idea what it's doing for texts.

I found a fix on another site re: wipe cache partition but when I go into Android Recovery menu that option is not listed. Would anyone know how I can get this thing to act normally w/o having to do a hard reset and reload all the updates & patches?

Have you tried setting a new rule, letting that take over from the current settings? (I'm assuming that manually turning DND off doesn't do it).

A hard reset will wipe user apps and all app data, but will not undo system updates. It does nothing at all to the system software.
