Oreo Black Screen

Hi
new here so hello to one and all.
My S8+ has been upgraded to the Oreo system.
On installing I was faced with a black screen with some dash markings towards the top of the screen.
There was no way to get to my home screen. The wifi was working, volume controls etc. but no home screen.
After half a day trying to sort it I almost gave up. After hearing that the pre installed Mcphee security may be the problem I got into the safe mode, into apps section and attempted to uninstall. The system would not let me uninstall the program.
I went to the home screen right clicked Mcphee and uninstalled it from there. This worked. After a restart the phone was back to its normal self.
I cannot be the only one to have had this problem. Why are we not warned about this issue before they send out the upgrade.
I know have a different security on the phone.
Hope this will help anyone with the same issue.

The most likely reason you weren't warned is that nobody encountered it during testing. It's probably a particular setting, or a some combination of cached data or other factors, which causes the conflict, and as the number of devices involved in testing will be much smaller than the number it finally rolls out to a problem that is sufficiently rare may not be detected until the rollout is well under way.

Mind you, from encountering their PC software I would never allow a McAfee product onto any device of mine ;).
