Oreo, silence and vibration ?

Is there any way in Oreo to make it totally silent AND STILL VIBRATE ?

In older Android versions it was so easy to set phone silent but vibrate with just one slide and klik. Now in 8.0 it is a total nightmare with tens of useless menues and submenus, with no way to make it vibrate.

Pressing the volume down button on your phone should lower the ringtone. If you press it enough times, it puts your phone into vibration mode

Press and hold the button does that on my phone.

There's an app called "Shortcutter" (developer: LeeDroid) that lets you add custom tiles to your quick settings pulldown. One of these is a toggle to switch between ring/vibrate/silent (or just 2 of those if you prefer).

Pressing volume key silences the ring tone, but is awkward and silences only the ringtone. This does not do anything to alarms and media without more klicking.

What I was asking was "Total silence", which silences also all music, calendar apps, webpages, noisy apps etc. In other words also Media and Alarms.

Installing an app to fix an error Goigle has done, sounds as stupid as M$Windows.
