I saw an article where Google was putting its foot down on some apps in order to implement Oreo.
Whatsapp was one and so was Nova Launcher.

Has anyone seen the changes in Nova? I read the article about what part of Nova was a problem, and it's the one part of Nova I ignore. Gestures and Inputs.

I'm using Nova on Oreo. I'm also using the same gestures I used to use with Lollipop (things like toggling the status bar, lowering notifications - though I can do that with the fingerprint scanner now). Can't say I've noticed any difference in WhatsApp either.

Maybe all the changes applied to those phones that come with Oreo installed?

I don't want to see Google shoving itself in all over the place. I have no use for any offerings besides the OS and Play store.

I don't use any of the security. The Vulcan would never answer the phone!
