You need POLLS where people can select what their favorite widget / program / application ( music , maps , sms, ect. ) Posting a thread about what is everyone's individual favorite is doesn't make sense and is highly unorganized.

You could do this by searching on android market place and taking the top 25 downloaded of each section ( apps music , maps, sms , widgets, programs, ect ) Then people can vote .... Graphs can show results. This is very simple , easy and MOST of all Helps your customers. makes site more popular

I don't know that this would be something to do on Android Forums. It might now be a bad idea to do something like this on Phandroid possibly.
I think that an upcoming addition to the Phandroid family of sites might cover a lot of this.. you'll hear about it in the coming weeks though.
