Original Galaxy Note T-Mobile 4g?

Lurker
Hello. I was thinking of purchasing the original galaxy note for use with the T-Mobile network. Since it was only introduced on the AT&T network, I was just wondering if I will be able to utilize T-Mobile's HSPA+ or LTE network with it, or if I will only get 3G or EDGE. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

This probably would be best served in the T Mobile section, if you want me to moved it there let me know.

Hi dsafl ... :)

Welcome aboard. I moved your thread to the T-Mobile forum for some faster responses.

Thanks for joining.

It'll get edge and LTE stock, but only 3/4g in refarmed areas unless you do the aws mod. I get about 10-13 down in refarmed Chicago.

I just bought a Note 1 (i717). I need to get the phone unlocked and I've got a Tmobile Sim ready to go. Note arrives by Friday :D

Apparently the AT&T Note 1 and 2 have all the frequencies needed for TMobile but they have to be unlocked. Check xda for details.

Cool! Immediately get an Anker 2700 battery; mine made a noticeable difference. It was pretty bad before and mine was only four months old.

Is the Anker a "fat" extended battery or does it fit with the regular battery cover/case?

It fits with the stock cover just fine. 200 doesn't seen like a big bump but I noticed solid improvement.
