Other Back-Up Applications...?

I use MyBackup Pro...
What a Mistake that is...
The thing will never back up my Text Messages, it say's:
"Backup SMS failed : disk I/O error."
I want to Root my Phone, But, I can't, Cause I want to back up my texts.
I wiped my phone completely in December, and it wouldn't back up my Text's Either...(It will back up anything else...)
Any other Back up Applications out there...?
(PS: No I'm not new to Android at all...I just joined here cause it seemed like a Good Site)
I've been searchin' and I can't find nothin'....

I use the SMS Backup and Restore app - so far it has performed flawlessly.

Had to bring over txts from my N95 and the instructions the developer provides were outstanding - no problems at all.

If you have any problems, a quick email will be answered asap - great service!

Couldn't get the Rootin' Down...
Can someone Help me...
I think the Problem is cause I'm runnin' 1.6, and you have to have 1.5
Which I couldn't find.
