Help Other smarty phones for Indulge coming?

ickster

Android Enthusiast
As some of you saw, I foolishly left Metropcs and tried Sprint. I lasted 11 days. To all who have complaints about Metro, IMO Sprint is way worse.
But I had an HTC Evo 4g for that 11 days. I loved this phone. So much so, that I would have stayed with Sprint. 'Cept they were awful. It was like they WANTED me to leave.

But after researching, I found a few links about the phones to come on MetroPcs.
Thought I'd start this link.
A few questions with MY answers, what do think?

Does metro needa better selection of 4g smart phones?
Apsolutely!
What have you heard?
An optimus early summer? An HTC Thunderbolt (equiv) 4th quarter?
Would you switch?
The day they came available!

What features would you most like available? Wireless tether, hi def camera, tv out and forward facing camera.

I really like HTC. And I've heard they have pretty good customer service.

what links were you looking at? I found this forum by trying to find a different one. A while back I found a forum that listed the new indulge as the samsung Forte with pictures and crap about a month before its release. In trying to find that site, I stumbled across here. Still wanna find that old one though, some pretty damn good information.

Honestly I can't quote any sources. I googled the phrase new phones on metropcs or something like that.
I was looking because I was trying to decide what to do as per my bad experience with Sprint. Seeing what metro had coming down the pike. But that's what I brought from it. The rumors are that an Optimus is coming this summer. and an HTC by end of year/4th quarter. But don't quote ME.
I'm almost postive it was on howardforums. It was a thread like this from several months ago. It is all speculation with a bunch of people (like here LOL) demanding proof. I just brought it all up to start our own dialog. I would love to see some other choices. Surely something new is coming. That's why I ask...What have you heard?

Edit I'll look later and see if I can find that thread again.

You say u found a link to a list of metro phone to come can you share that link

guarantee its to howardforums. There is a thread where people are saying they work for metro and have been to "master dealer meetings" and then describe whats coming out in the 3rd and 4th quarter

Yeah I have been a member there for a long time On flashing the out side phones to metro . They did have a thing about an htc front facing cam phone but after looking at fcc metro and samsung are put out a New VoLTE-enabled smartphone they have in testing and thats to be the next release said but u never know .

Why would you ever go to Sprint to begin with... MetroPCS now shares/uses sprint towers when you're out of your "home" network.

I guess I should have asked you first ha ha.Just stoopid I guess. I sincerely regret it. But I loved that Evo. I will buy an HTC the instant it's available on metro....and I won't leave again, promise.

Verizon's Towers. There contract is with Verizon. this is how they cover 90% of the whole US.

Well what i would like to see from Metro is an EVO like device 4.3in screen, and a better battery life.

I came from sprint and i was very happy customer (since 2002), But at this moment even if metro is cheaper ($80-$84 a month) I'm missing my EVO screen. the FF Camera is a joke, it like shower sex/3some, in theory it sounds cool, but in reality it isn't. I had the Evo from release date and used it 1 time to test with other guy that just got it too, it didn't work that great because there was no 4g. After i got 4g used it again with the same dude, but the lag was so high it was impractical. Plain and simple the cell networks are no there yet and lack of phone with the feature and the lack of cross network comparability don't do it justice.

FF camera is like MMS back in 2002-2005. it was stupid and you could only do it with one or two phones and they had to be in your network. I mean don't even go that far, there was a point where you could not send txt across to a different network provider.

here is the problem with metro there target market is the less fortunate people of our society and others

People that cant afford expensive phones are poor
Parents that wasn't to keep track of there kids but want something cheap
people that don't have good Credit and cant get on a contract.
People that are illegal in this country but need a cell phone.
People that want everything for a cheap price.

This phone is there first step in trying to get people like me that non of the first 4 apply, but want the same thing cheaper (lol). I had my i on metro since it came out, but there phone selection was very weak. After they got this phone that was the first step, my other main concern was there network sucked back in 2009. but after testing it with a cheap phone was i surprise of the improvement made. So got the phone and here i'm so far a happy metro customer. i mean what can i lose. If they **** me over or i dont like them for whatever reason i can just jump right back to what i know (sprint) or maybe try other carrier. i'm pretty sure i can cell this phone on CL or ebay and get 200-300 for it. After all I'm going to end up paying $200 after rebate (purchased it from bestbuy for $299.99 and that $100 mail-in rebate)

So i really hope this phone shows them a lesson that there are people out there that would jump on there network, if they have the proper phones. This phone is a great addition to there line up and anything less then this phone that comes out is going to be a setback for them in my opinion. This phone has set the bar very high for them and they must do better then thing phone.

What they need to work on is optimizing the LTE radio because the biggest draw back in the battery

ROFL! Yeah I thought the FF camera was gonna be awesome.....but I don't know who YOU had a threesome with LOL.....

its not Verizon, they use verizon for travel talk

they use sprint as the extended home network...trust me

No to take it off topic but you have to take care of two of them. after i let the Nut go i really dont want to be bothered any more, But for does that never had it i will still in courage to try it.

Where are you getting your info from? Metro uses Sprint, Cricket, US Cellular towers when you're out of your home network. You're thinking of traveltalk mate.

its not Verizon, they use verizon for travel talk

What he said is correct.

I wish MetroPCS would be more forthcoming with their plans. I'm sure they think that announcing a MetroPCS HTC Thunderbolt version would undercut Indulge sales. I would argue it would help keep old customers and draw new ones. Put me down as one customer willing to pay for such a phone as long as the service is there. And don't remove any features please. Why metro lowered the quality of the Indulge still stymies me. Shooting themselves in the foot so to speak.....
