Other than the N5 - anything new coming?

I have an S4 on the Jump! program - and - am already looking forward to January for something new. Since it's release - I've been leaning towards the G2. Even, compared to the N5 - I still prefer the G2, Is there anything else on the horizon for the next couple of months?

I have not seen any new rumors. Usually Christmas time is slow time for new releases. There were rumors that Samsung would be releasing the S5 on January bur i really doubt they are true.

By the way the Jump program is a b complete rip off. Do the math.

How's it a complete ripoff? If I'm to give in my Note 3 for a Note 4 next year I will have paid less than $400 for my Note 3

You made a down payment of $200 for your phone now. Plus about $35 a month for the phone (including the $10 dollars for jump program). Plus when you get Note 4 next year you have to pay down payment again next year. Complete rip off. Might as well buy the phone for full retail at $700 dollars and sell it on amazon for $500 next year.

Like i said, you are not doing the math correctly.

Not to mention that you may not want to purchase another phone next year. If you don't then you essentially gave away $10 dollars a month to T-Mobile. The only good thing that i see with the jump program is that it also comes with insurance.

It was 0 down all I payed was the tax and I'll most likely end up getting something next year if not the Note 4 the S5 or Nexus 6 because I don't believe by this time next year there won't be a device that tops the Note 3 but if I don't get it, oh well the $10 jump fee includes insurance and lookout premium which by themselves are $12 a month

I'm aware the the cost is higher than if I purchased the phones outright - and then had to sell them on my own - but - it's a cost I'm willing to pay. Jump! does also include the insurance - so, that cost is a wash. I don;t think it includes lookout premium - when I go to lookout premium on the phone - it says that it's $4/mo more.

Yes that is what i was saying. You are essentially paying over $200 so you don't have to sell it online.

As for upcoming phones, the only ones that we know anything about are the HTC One Max, and the Moto G.

As for the Jump program, if I remember from when I ran the calculations when the program was announced, this was the skinny:

Jump was a dead even break if assuming standard 1/4 original retail depreciation on the current phone, paying 0 down, and Jumping whenever possible(every 6 months). If you wait even 1 month longer or would not get insurance on the phone without jump, then it favors the carrier.

View attachment 64060 JUMP! includes the $8 insurance and the $4 Lookout Premium as I would get both I'm saving $2. The math works out for my personal upgrade cycle too

THANKS!! I JUST got off the phone with (what sounded like) a fairly intelligent rep. He said that he has received calls from customers who received a text saying that it was included, but that it would be through Assurance Solutions - who are the administrators of the insurance part of the plan. I called them - their prompts are to file a claim, or about device protection. If you press device protection, they tell you to call T-MO!
