OTT TV Box picture lags

hi guys, newbie here.

Been playing around with kodi on my laptop after hearing great things. Got familiar with it and opted to purchase a MXQ OTT TV Box.
At first, no problems. Smooth picture and pretty quick. Howver within a matter of minutes the picture became ridiculously laggy and its quite slow. I double checked the same sites on my laptop and absolutely no issues.
Ive tried unplugging it and doing a factory reset but same issue. Very frustrating!

I dont have a SD card in it so dont know if that could be an issue but doubtful.

Anyone come across this and know a possible fix? Im suspecting a faulty unit but not sure.

Hello, I have the same problem, and also I can't see the Android action bar, so I think the problem is that I have too many app on the background and I can't close

Hi, I finally found the problem, I connect my MXq Box to the Ethernet cable and now is working perfectly, and the action bar was hidden in an options on the setting menu.
