ott tv box settings gui in chinese

Hi all

first post (after the introduction..) so go easy on me im sat on the sofa looking at the gui for my brand new OTT TV box (fully loaded) via ebay. GREAT, SUPER!

sorted the basics , networked, plugged into the telly, and was about to set the date n time correctly or more than likely point it at a time server if the option exists?

I navigated through settings to 'Other settings' and its all in what i think is Chinese???????????

I guess im looking for a new image to flash onto the box? Or is there a different solution?

According to the settings display my OTT TV box is model : HD18Q
running Android Version :4.4.2
kernel Version : 3.10.33

any help will be much appreciated.

now sorted, found the symbol/icon used for languages on google, and chased down every option under that untill a list of recognisable language options was presented, Phew....

not a bad lil puter now i can see whats what..

its loaded with xmbc which keeps reminding me there is a new version, KODI out there is it ok to upgrade this or is there some limiting factor? tia.

Hi, Kodi will work just fine, I am currently using version 15.0 and its running really well. however I did use 14.2 before that and that was also very good. Any problems just ask, I will happily try and help. Cheers.

You can down load Kodi from here - http://kodi.tv/download/

Download the ARM version.

Glad you were able to resolve the issue. One of the problems in buying an Android TV from China is the language settings.

Kodi is awesome, you're going to love it.
