Otterbox and Capacitive Buttons

Is it just me or does anyone else have a little bit of a hard time pressing the capacitive buttons with Otterbox Defender? I sometimes have to press back button a few times to get it to work. I also feel like back button to is a little slow to respond?

Mine is that way and I have little hands. I've also noticed that my phone has wiggle room inside the case which worries me that my phone is getting scratched with every step.

Just found out a way to make this easier from another forum. You can change light time on capacitive buttons in settings. I never knew this lol. It definitely makes it a lot easier to not have to press the buttons so many times since you can actually see what you're pressing.

Yeah, as soon as I took mine out of the box I locked screen brightness on max, buttons on forever, dialer sound and screen sounds off.

Didn't even log into my account yet. That stuff was REALLY annoying. Why would you turn off your buttons?!

what do you mean by change light time?

If you go into settings then display settings there is an option called "button lighting" or something like that. You can change the time that the capacitive buttons (menu and back button) stay on or can can keep them totally off. It's pretty neat. None of my HTC phones offered this feature.

You know that just changes the duration of the light but has nothing to do with the touch buttons working? They annoy me flashing on and off all the time so I've turned the back light off completely but the buttons still work all the time

Yea but I think the reason I felt they weren't working was because they would go off so quickly that I couldn't tell where to press so I would have to keep pressing to find them. However, I still think Otterbox screen protector cuts down on the sensitivity because even directly pressing buttons sometimes requires more than one touch.
