Otterbox defender case

I've had otterbox defender case in all my phones I have ever owned. With my clumsy ass I don't want to chance it. As it is first day owning the phone cracked my screen it would be me too. I have read some horrible reviews off Amazon site unsure if I should continued using the defender case?

With case on the phone
Volume and Power button is really hard to get to. As well as the plastic shield over the screen. Any of you who have this case on this phone share some words would gladly appreciate it.

I understand the concept behind cases, but I prefer portfolios. There's enough of a lip around the edges to protect the phone in case it falls, plus room for cash and cards. The Spigen Wallet S comes to mind, although I have ordered a different one to see if I like it better. My 2¢

Defender cases on all of mine, also.

Never had problems with the power/volume buttons, but did have an issue with water between the screen and the screen protector. Simple "fix" , remove the case and clean the screen and shield.

Side note...latest phone has been in its OB case, since day 1, and has only been out twice for cleaning.
