The Mothership's Faceplant has reports of a full outage in the Boston area and Metro affirms a problem they are working on. Innarestin' that happens to be on of the BYOD roll-out areas.

Maybe since Boston has been giving the LTE go ahead theyre now combining

Last week
Good morning everyone,
I am happy to report that the N.E. Market has successfully launched LTE in the Boston, MA and Providence, RI Metro areas of N.E. as of 1:00am, June 14th. Please refer to the map below for a coverage footprint and a table of geographic references where LTE is now active.
This is a major milestone for the New England Network and the team members from the Network Engineering, Operations and Development teams.
Initial Performance results are good so far and we are seeing Max DL Throughput values of >30Mbps and Max UL Throughput values of >9Mbps from our statistical analysis. The Network Engineering & Operations teams will continue to monitor the initial performance of the new LTE network throughout the day and over the weekend.
Looking ahead

Would they not have been combined BEFORE their BYOD was announced?

Otherwise, how would a Metro Sim (T-Mo GSM) work on a Metro phone if the 2 networks weren't combined?

Just trying to understand.

Well theres no GSM to combine and it doesn't matter if they didn't combine the LTE its just like how our phones work on LTE now just waiting to hop on that tmo spectrum though

Yesterday sucked here but not just for the most obvious reason.

I was in the TWOs for the Entire Day until midnight when I got a 3.19 and a 3.60.
That IS NOT the consistency I was looking for and is noticeably slower than the past couple weeks. And, perfect weather here, hot, no storms.

Metro is doing a lot of tower work. Could be tmobile is supposed to be launching the new LTE markets that cover around 75 million within 5 days.
